It started with one curious sip in Italy

Italy. The small bars. The clinking of cups. The scent of freshly ground beans mixing with warm air and morning light. We were standing in one of those typical Italian coffee shops where the menu seemed endless. Espresso, cappuccino, macchiato.

Until there was something we didn't know yet: Ginseng coffee.

My mom, always curious and willing to try something new, didn't need a second to think. She ordered it. I played it safe with a cappuccino. Until she took that first sip. She looked up, you know that look. The look that says: this is different.

"You really have to taste this."

We laughed. But we tasted, and she was right. What we tasted felt different from what we were used to. The taste was full and round, with a light spicy undertone. Softer in taste and less sharp, without overpowering bitterness. And then something remarkable happened. What we felt was a calm, natural energy. As if your body works with you instead of against you, that moment never let us go.

From skeptical to every morning

My brother looked skeptical. Coffee? He doesn't drink that, never has. "Whatever," he said. Still, my mom brought a box home, just to see what it would do. The next morning something happened that no one expected: my brother Luke asked if he could try a cup too.

First one sip. Then another.

Now he's at the desk every morning first with his ginseng coffee. Someone who never drank coffee became a fan of the soft taste and the balanced feeling afterwards. That says it all really.

An Italian discovery with Eastern roots

We thought it was an Italian invention. Until we discovered that ginseng coffee actually has its origins in the East, where ginseng has been used for centuries within traditional herbal medicine. That made us curious.

We started reading, testing and talking to people who knew more about natural energy, balance and ingredients with history. Ginseng was often described as "the root of vitality", an ingredient traditionally associated with focus and endurance. And slowly a question grew:

"What if you develop a coffee blend with ginseng that not only tastes good, but also feels different?"

Why we call it "coffee"

Our blends are not 100% pure coffee. That's why we deliberately call it ginseng coffee and not traditional coffee. It's a composite blend in which premium coffee is combined with ginseng extract or goji extract. The result is an instant warm drink with character, balance and softness.

This is how Luvia Blends was born

We decided to take it seriously. A thoughtful development together with people who have knowledge of ingredients, production and taste balance. We looked for partners who, like us, believe in:
